ATEP Forms and Documents

The following documents and forms can be downloaded directly from this site:

ATEP Student Handbook

The ATEP Student Handbook details for Athletic Training students, Clinical Instructors, and faculty the policies and procedures for the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at George Mason University. At all times, the George Mason University Catalog, GMU Faculty and Student Handbooks, and published policies supersede this document. This handbook was developed to assist the Athletic Training Student to be successful at Mason by articulating policies and procedures related to the ATEP.

Technical Standards Form

The Technical Standards form advises the Athletic Training student of the physical and cognitive demands that are a part of the curriculum. During ATEP 228 - Introduction to Athletic Training, students receive and review a copy of the Technical Standards form and are then given an opportunity to sign it and have it placed in their file. Those students who require academic accommodation are referred to the Disability Resource Center. The Technical Standards form is also available as Appendix 2 of the ATEP Student Handbook.

ATEP Academic Advising Form (2008-09 Checksheet)

The Academic Advising Form is a one-page worksheet designed to help students monitor their course completion progress towards the B.S. (AT) degree. It is always advisable to have an up-to-date copy of the checksheet available when meeting with the Academic Advisor.

Also available: Additional checksheets for all academic calendar years, in all RHT programs.

ATEP Four Year Plan

The recommended four year academic plan is designed to guide Athletic Training students when scheduling courses each semester. Students should also meet with their academic advisor prior to scheduling courses each semester.  Schedule courses primarily in the mornings in order to keep afternoons free for clinical field experiences.
