Admission to Sport Management
Entering
Freshmen and Transfer Students
Admission to the Sport Management concentration in the HFRR major is through the regular George Mason University process. Online application forms and additional information are available through the Admissions Office. As early as possible, admitted students should declare HFRR (Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources) as their major, with SPMT as their major concentration.
Changing your Major to Sport Management
Current Mason students may change to or declare a major in RHT with a concentration in Sport Management by completing and submitting the Change/Declaration of Academic Program form. When completing the form, use ‘HFRR’ as the Major code, and ‘SPMT’ as the Major/Option Concentration code. Circle ‘BS’ on the New Degree line. See the SPMT Coordinator, Dr. Bob Baker (208 B Bull Run Hall), for his signature as the new advisor.
Declaring SPMT as a minor
Mason students majoring in any program or concentration other than a B.S. in Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources can begin to pursue a minor in SPMT by submitting the Change/Declaration of Academic Program form. When completing the form, fill in the Declaration/Change of Minor section and use ‘SPMT’ as the Minor code. See the SPMT Coordinator, Dr. Bob Baker (208 B Bull Run Hall), for his signature as the advisor.
