The School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism (SRHT) offers exciting, career-ready majors in dynamic fields such as athletic training, tourism and events management, health and physical education, kinesiology, sport management, and recreation management. SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Each major requires one or more internship or clinical experiences, ensuring that students graduate not just with a transcript but with a resume that demonstrates their professional aptitude and skills.

General Information

Credit hours: 12

Description:

Paid or voluntary work experience in sport industry settings. Requires minimum period of 10 to 12 weeks of full-time employment. Applies course work, theories, and research to work settings. Work sites chosen by students after approval of faculty supervisors. Includes meetings and assignments before and during the internship. Offered by Recreation, Health & Tourism. May not be repeated for credit.
Mason Core: Capstone
Recommended Prerequisite: SPMT 475 and completion of 90 credits.
Registration Restrictions:

Required Prerequisite: SPMT 241C.
C Requires minimum grade of C.

Enrollment is limited to students with a concentration in Sport Management.
